Rachel Kolb is a doctoral student and Woodruff Fellow in the English department at Emory University, where she is also obtaining a certificate in bioethics. Her research interests include disability studies, d/Deaf studies, medical humanities, 19th and 20th century literature, literature and science, visual and multimedia communication, and questions of embodiment in narrative, among others. She holds master’s degrees in English and higher education from Stanford University and the University of Oxford (which she attended as a Rhodes scholar), as well as a bachelor’s degree with honors in English from Stanford University, with a minor in human biology.
